Mets Content - No Off-Season Moves

The NY Mets rumors have been swirling lately. Will they make a play for a someone to follow Johan Santana in the rotation? Will the Mets figure out what to do in the outfield now that Chone Figgins is off the market?

Mets rumors about Jason Bay playing in Citi Field are just that, rumors. The NY Mets and Omar Minaya are pretty much satisfied with having an ass backwards outfield. The Mets are also convinced that Carlos Delgado will return to form, that Jose Reyes will return to full speed and that Carlos Beltran will continue his reign a top the NL East center fielder race.

The problem we're going to have starts and stops with our rotation. John Maine will be returning from surgery, but who knows what he'll bring on the mound. If last season is an indicator of his performance, the NY Mets could be in for another long long season.

The elephant in the room is Roy Halladay. How the flip could we not have given a full court press for either Roy Halladay or Cliff Lee? Oh wait... that's right, we'd probably have to restructure the Bobby Bonilla deal we still have against our salary cap. That's right... did you forget? The NY Mets will begin paying Bobby Bonilla (who sucked in his prime anyway) $1.2MM per year starting in 2011.

What makes us such gluttons for punishment? The Mets organization is messed the flip up!!!
