Mets stay as hot as the weather

The NY Mets take a night off on Sunday to gear up for their battle with the fish. R.A. Dickey takes the hill in an attempt to become the first Mets pitcher to start their tenure with the team 7-0.

7 starts, 7 wins? That's refreshing. Not exactly like that crazy Mexican, Oliver Perez.

Shaky Start for the NY Mess

The 2010 NY Mets look a lot like the 2009 NY Mets - terrible.

Just 7 games into the season, and the NY Mets have found the basement of the NL East. Every ESPN Analyst on the planet predicted that the Mets would suck, but every Met fan on the planet kept that little thought in the back of their mind; "Yea we sucked last year, but everyone was hurt! imagine if they were all healthy!!"

Well yea, I had the same thought, but like every other NY Mets season it would seem, those thoughts were dashed.

Seriously: look at the Mets over the past 10 seasons...

Omar Minaya's Latino National Team

I might be taking some time off as a Mets fan during the early part of this season. In-fact I am borderline irate on the neglect this roster received in the off-season.

And now Omar’s Latino National team is starting to come true to form with Jose, Beltran and Kelvim Escobar going on the dl to start the season. The fact we rely on these over paid, under-performing, injury prone non-clutch performer’s year in and year out is absolutely excruciating.

Spring Training Comments

My fan level is obviously kind of low, seeing how there is not much to be excited about, BUT the pre season optimism has run through me of late to think of the lineup in everybody's prime…jose, louis, DW5, Belt (back on the juice) Francouer, Bay (back on the juice) and some random catcher…its not that bad.

Now obviously we are far removed from these players prime’s except DW5 but still on paper not too bad. And lets just say we get a season out of Maine AND Pelfrey BOTH this year…now your talking!!!!
